School regulations<\/h1>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

0. General principles<\/strong>
<\/strong>0.1<\/strong>
<\/strong>These regulations serve to ensure the smooth running of classes at the AS Ballet School. The aim is to minimize administrative work so that the focus is on enjoying teaching and dancing in a motivating and respectful environment.\u2028
0.2<\/strong>
<\/strong>Violations of these regulations may result in a warning or temporary or permanent exclusion, depending on the decision of the school management.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n

1. Admission requirements<\/strong>
<\/strong>1.1<\/strong>
<\/strong>The minimum age for admission to the school is 3 years.
1.2<\/strong>
<\/strong>The courses are open to everyone, regardless of age, gender, or level. No previous experience is required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Registration<\/strong>
<\/strong>2.1<\/strong>
<\/strong>A trial lesson is offered at a rate of CHF 15; this amount will be credited upon registration.
2.2<\/strong>
<\/strong>Registrations are accepted throughout the year, subject to availability.\u2028
2.3<\/strong>
<\/strong>A one-time registration fee of CHF 50 is charged upon initial registration.\u2028
2.4<\/strong>
<\/strong>Registration implies full acceptance of these school regulations. The registration form (form + school regulations) must be initialed on each page and dated and signed on the last page (by the legal representative in the case of minors).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For online registrations, confirmation and electronic signature are considered equivalent to initialing or handwritten signature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. School operations<\/strong>
<\/strong>3.1<\/strong>
<\/strong>The school offers a structured, progressive program that takes into account the age and level of the students.\u2028
3.2<\/strong>
<\/strong>Placement in a level is determined by the school administration based on technical and artistic abilities.\u2028
3.3<\/strong>
<\/strong>Respect, punctuality, and a positive attitude are expected of all students and teachers.\u2028
3.4<\/strong>
<\/strong>Students must arrive on time, wearing the prescribed clothing and with appropriate hairstyles.\u2028
3.5<\/strong>
<\/strong>Clothing: Uniform clothing is required for ballet classes. This allows for precise correction of posture and muscle use and prevents comparisons based on appearance.\u2028
3.6<\/strong>
<\/strong>The wearing of jewelry and watches is prohibited during class (risk of injury).
3.7<\/strong>
<\/strong>Chewing gum is strictly prohibited in class (risk of suffocation).\u2028
3.8<\/strong>
<\/strong>Parents or friends may, by prior arrangement, attend a lesson as spectators in exceptional cases; active participation is not possible. Apart from this, only actively participating students are allowed in the studios.\u2028
3.9<\/strong>
<\/strong>Choreographies learned at the school remain the property of the school. Any reproduction or public performance requires written consent.\u2028
3.10<\/strong>
<\/strong>Students under the age of 16 may attend additional courses at other institutions, provided that the school management is informed in advance.\u2028
3.11<\/strong>
<\/strong>Participation in the annual exam, which takes place in front of an audience and is assessed by an international jury of experts, is strongly recommended and is standard practice at the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.12 \u2014 Pointe work (Avanc\u00e9)\u2028
<\/strong>On certain days, a 30-minute pointe module is offered after the class, exclusively for Avanc\u00e9 levels. Participation is optional and at the discretion of the teacher, depending on the technical requirements and physical condition of the student.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.13 \u2014 Point work (Interm\u00e9diaire & \u00c9tude)\u2028
<\/strong>Requirement: at least 3 weekly ballet lessons, attended regularly.\u2028
This requirement is for injury prevention: working on pointe requires specific strengthening and sufficient strength.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Absences and catch-up classes\u2028<\/strong>
<\/strong>4.1<\/strong>
<\/strong>Individual, short-term absences may be made up by arrangement with the school administration.
4.2<\/strong>
<\/strong>For longer absences due to medical reasons, see \u00a7 5.4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Fees<\/strong>
<\/strong>5.1<\/strong>
<\/strong>Billing is quarterly (standard) based on the number of weekly lessons, with payment in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monthly payment is also an option; this incurs a 5% surcharge for administrative costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Annual payment (August\u2013July) is also possible and grants a 5% discount compared to the quarterly rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regardless of the payment method chosen (monthly, quarterly, or annually), enrollment is binding for the school year (August\u2013July).\u2028
5.2 Enrollment during the period\/year\u2028
<\/strong>If you enroll during a current period (month or quarter), the fees for the first period will be calculated pro rata temporis from the date of enrollment.
If you enroll during the current school year, your enrollment is binding until the end of the current school year (August\u2013July), regardless of the payment method (monthly, quarterly, or annually).\u2028<\/strong>
Example: Enrollment on November 15, 2025 \u2192 Pro rata fee for the period already started, binding until July 31, 2026; for the following year, \u00a76.1 applies (cancellation before June 1, 2026), otherwise renewal (\u00a76.2).\u2028
<\/em>Fee adjustments due to a change in the number of weekly lessons are made in accordance with \u00a76.4.\u2028
5.3
<\/strong>\u2028Missed lessons are not refunded, but can be made up if possible.\u2028
5.4
<\/strong>In the event of prolonged absence (illness or accident), a refund request may be submitted to the school management upon presentation of a medical certificate.
5.5
<\/strong>A reminder fee of CHF 20 will be charged for late payments.
5.6
<\/strong>Each person must have their own accident insurance.\u2028
5.7
<\/strong>The school accepts no liability for theft or loss of personal belongings. It is strongly recommended that you do not leave any valuables in dressingrooms or studios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5.8 \u2013 10-session pass (adults only)
<\/strong>CHF 290 (90 minutes) \/ CHF 250 (60 minutes); valid for 3 months from first use.
Personal and non-transferable; not valid for workshops\/intensive courses, private lessons, or additional individual lessons.
No refunds; extension possible in case of medical impediment (with proof).\u2028
Reservation subject to availability of adult courses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subscriptions can be used flexibly between 60- and 90-minute courses:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • A 90-minute subscription can be used to attend a 60-minute course; in this case, a credit of CHF 4 per course will be applied.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • A 60-minute subscription can be used to attend a 90-minute course for an additional charge of CHF 4 per course.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    5.9 \u2013 Additional lessons (single lesson)<\/strong>
    <\/strong>Rate: CHF 35 (non-registered) \/ CHF 25 (already registered).\u2028
    Only lessons actually attended will be charged. For regular attendance (weekly): If the lesson is attended in addition to one or more other courses, it counts as an additional weekly lesson. The quarterly invoice is then adjusted according to the rate based on the number of weekly lessons (+1); the single lesson rate does not apply.\u2028
    Reservation subject to availability; priority given to regular registrants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    5.10 \u2013 Private lessons (60 minutes)<\/strong>

    Payment in advance or on the day of the lesson.\u2028
    Cancellations less than 24 hours in advance: the session will be charged (except for proven medical reasons).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    5.11 \u2013 Annual payment (annual commitment)<\/strong>
    <\/strong>Option to pay for the entire school year (August\u2013July) in advance.\u2028
    5% discount compared to quarterly billing.
    The remaining terms of payment remain applicable (see \u00a7 5.1).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    5.12 \u2013 Family discount (same household)\u2028<\/strong>
    <\/strong>Two people from the same household (parents\/siblings): 10% off the lowest rate.\u2028
    Three or more people from the same household: 15% off the lowest rate.
    Valid on course fees (quarterly, or annual) according to the current rate; excluding registration fees, private lessons, individual lessons, 10-session passes, intensive courses, and workshops.\u2028
    The discount applies to the entire billing period (quarter or year). Proof of shared household may be required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    6.<\/strong> 6. Commitment & cancellation conditions\u2028<\/strong>
    <\/strong>Regardless of the payment method (monthly, quarterly, annually), registration is binding for the school year (August\u2013July).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    6.1<\/strong>
    Withdrawal for the following school year:\u2028
    In writing to the school administration before June 1 (for the start in August).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    6.2<\/strong>
    <\/strong>Without timely written withdrawal, enrollment will be automatically renewed and the fees for the following year will be due.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    6.3<\/strong>
    <\/strong>No refunds or cancellations of fees are possible for withdrawals during the school year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    6.4 Changes to the number of weekly lessons (current year)<\/strong>
    Increase: possible at any time, subject to availability. Fees will be adjusted pro rata from the effective date.
    It is not possible to reduce the number of weekly lessons after enrollment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    6.5 Enrollment during the current school year<\/strong>
    Any enrollment during the current school year is binding until the end of the school year (August\u2013July). Withdrawal for the following year is governed by \u00a76.1; without timely withdrawal, an extension will be granted in accordance with \u00a76.2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    7. Place of jurisdiction
    <\/strong>Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is Bern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
