Welcome to the Académie Suisse de Ballet
Founded in Bern in 1996 by Sônia Melo and Alfonso Bausilio, both former dancers on international stages and at the Stadttheater Bern, the AS Ballet School was born out of a deep desire to teach the art of dance with passion, high standards, and generosity.
Today, a new generation is joining the school's artistic direction: Yannick Bittencourt and Grégory Dominiak, former dancers with the Paris Opera Ballet, bring their experience and contemporary perspective to the school, working alongside the founders, who continue to teach.

Paquita & Divertissement
Our 2026 Summer Performance took place directly after our annual examinations and marked a very special conclusion to our dance year.
The first part, “Divertissement,” brought together children, teenagers, and adults in a lively combination of different dance styles. In the second part, our students presented “Paquita Suite,” a masterpiece of classical ballet.
This year, we also had the pleasure of celebrating our 30th anniversary. We look back on this special day with great joy and gratitude. It continues to fill us with pride to accompany our students throughout their development and to see them grow as dancers and as individuals.

Annual examination followed by performance
